EU Health Card (EHIC)
EU citizens with a valid EHIC card are entitled to state healthcare. Present it at public hospitals. Private clinics require payment.
Nearest A&E (Pohotovost)
Central hospitals: Nemocnice Na Františku (Prague 1), Fakultní nemocnice v Motole (Prague 5). A taxi to hospital is often fastest.
Private Clinics
Canadian Medical Prague (+420 235 360 133) and Unicare Medical Center have English-speaking emergency services and accept most expat insurance.
Pharmacy (Lékárna)
Night pharmacies are open 24/7. Look for a green cross sign. The area around the main train station (Hlavní nádraží) has 24-hour options.
Non-EU Citizens
You will be required to pay for state medical care. Keep your travel/health insurance documents accessible at all times.
